Troll House Brewing Company
Once a year, on April 1 the opportunities to let design usher in a tongue-in-cheek celebration of craft beer through the lens of inanity, non sequiturs, and thoughtful, deliberate buffoonery. Welcome to Troll House.
Authorized foolishness, via graphic design
Each April Fool’s day brings a slate of truly cracked label designs to Tree House Brewing Company. Troll House feature a dozen or more designs each year, providing ample space to let the celebratory tomfoolery fly. Nonsense abounds, with plenty of gentle goofing on the craft beer industry, and a voluminous dose of pure distilled balderdash.
A place for phenomenally inane copywriting to shine
While it’s always a hoot designing labels that aren’t afraid to get weird, Troll House also indulged my love of crafting copy that lovingly lampoons the expectations of traditional label design. The fact that I get paid to offer up such balderdash once a year is just icing on the cake.
